Why I Built TalentOS
A personal note on job hunting fatigue, reclaiming your sanity, and building a tool that puts candidates first.
Hey, I'm Jan Michael.
If you're reading this, you're probably deep in the trenches of a job hunt. If your search has been anything like mine, I know exactly how exhausted you are.
I'll be totally honest with you: a little while ago, my job search was crushing me. I was firing off hundreds of applications into the void, only to get hit with immediate, automated rejections. On the rare occasions I did make it to the interview stage, the sheer exhaustion and context-switching of the whole process caught up with me, and I'd fail.
The whole system felt stacked against me. Trying to keep track of a dozen different roles, tailoring my CV for every single application just to get past the automated screeners, and desperately trying to prep for interviews became a nightmare to manage.
“So, I built TalentOS. Originally, I built it entirely selfishly. I needed a lifeline to organize the chaos. I built it so my CV would actually have a fighting chance of being read by a human. I built it so I could rigorously study and practice before stepping into an interview, rather than just winging it and hoping for the best.”
It gave me my sanity back. And once I saw how much it helped me, it felt wrong to keep it hidden away. That's why it's here for you to use.
You'll notice there are paid plans. I want to be 100% upfront about this: I am not trying to get rich off people who are looking for work. The app uses large language models to analyze job descriptions and help you prep, and those cost real money every time they run. The paid tiers exist strictly to cover those API bills and the underlying infrastructure so I don't go broke keeping the lights on.
I hope this tool helps you land the role you deserve, and saves you some of the headaches I went through.
Good luck out there.
